Peter Obi: Nobody Can Force Me Out Of Nigeria

Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the previous general election, has declared that he will not be forced into leaving Nigeria.

He asserted that his party was committed to building a new Nigeria and removing the numerous “thieves” causing hardship for the masses. He pledged to persevere until such individuals were removed from political office in the country.

Peter Obi spoke at Onitsha Holiday Resort in Onitsha, where he appealed to voters in the upcoming supplementary election in Ogbaru Federal Constituency. He expressed his concern for the people of Nigeria and their current hardships, blaming the presence of too many “thieves” for their suffering.

In addition to his speech, Peter Obi conducted a roadshow campaign tour of the constituency, introducing the LP candidate for the area, Afam Ogene, to the people. He stated that Ogene is committed to his “building a new Nigeria” philosophy and urged voters to support him and the Labour Party. Obi promised that, if elected, Ogene would focus on developing the region and thanked the people for their previous support during his tenure as governor.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had previously declared the election in Ogbaru federal constituency inconclusive after the February 25 presidential and National Assembly polls. The commission cited violence and malpractice as reasons for being unable to conduct elections in approximately 45 polling units or deploy electoral materials in some of them.

The supplementary election is scheduled to determine the ultimate winner of the federal constituency seat.
