Jude Bellingham’s future as an English footballer has been widely speculated upon as the summer transfer window draws near.
With Borussia Dortmund placing a substantial fee on his head, a limited number of clubs can afford to sign him. Liverpool, once considered favourites to land the young midfielder, has dropped out of the race due to financial constraints.
However, the door is now open for Manchester United and Manchester City to compete for his signature.

Insight from Troy Deeney
A former teammate of Bellingham’s brother Jobe, Troy Deeney, has given insight into Bellingham’s mindset and predicted his next club in his column for The Sun.
Despite both Manchester clubs being tempting options, Deeney believes there can be only one winner: Real Madrid.
“For me, the Santiago Bernabeu is his most likely destination. I watched Real against Chelsea on Wednesday, and it was no more than a six or seven out of 10 performance by the ridiculously high standards of the 14-time European champions.
“But even then, players like Luka Modric and Vinicius Junior made your jaw drop at times. Real Madrid are regenerating their midfield – the wonderful Modric is 37 now, Toni Kroos, at 33, has openly talked about retiring this summer, and Casemiro has already moved on to Manchester United,” Deeney writes.
Jude Bellingham’s experience in the Bundesliga and at Dortmund have shown his adaptability to living and playing abroad.
Deeney believes that “going to Madrid will not be as daunting for him as it would be for a young English player moving straight from a Premier League club.”

Regenerating Real Madrid Midfield
Real Madrid have been regenerating their midfield, and Deeney identifies four young players Jude Bellingham could play alongside Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior.
Deeney is convinced that Bellingham will “captain England and whichever teams he plays for.”
Real Madrid have the financial clout to finance a deal for Jude Bellingham and may even have the opportunity to cash in on a player back on Liverpool’s radar.
