Chelsea and Real Madrid are facing off in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
The winner of this match will advance to the semi-finals, where they will likely face Manchester City, with the winner of that match considered the favorite to win the competition due to the perceived weakness of the other side of the draw.
Chelsea, however, are at a disadvantage as they lost the first leg 2-0 to Real Madrid. Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema scored the goals for the Spanish side, while Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell was sent off and is now suspended for the second leg.
Chelsea has also been struggling domestically and is not expected to qualify for European football next season, adding to the pressure on the team. As a result, Real Madrid is the favorite to win on Tuesday.
Ahead of the match, Chelsea released their starting lineup, with manager Frank Lampard opting for a defensive back-five formation and three central midfielders. This leaves Kai Havertz and Conor Gallagher as the only players to provide attacking threats.

With Chelsea needing to score three goals to progress, Lampard’s tactics suggest he is playing for damage limitation and does not believe his team can pull off a comeback.
However, this decision has not gone well with Chelsea fans, who have expressed disappointment on social media platforms.
The fans are hoping for a miracle to keep their Champions League hopes alive, but they are aware that the odds are stacked against them.
