The error, which occurred in the early minutes of the game, allowed the Mambas to score after Uzoho failed to stop a weak attempt by Gent Cipriano following a square ball into Nigeria’s box.
Before today, the Mambas have never scored against Nigeria.
Note that this blunder comes after Uzoho’s previous mistake in the match against Saudi Arabia, where he couldn’t keep out Salman Al-Faraj’s freekick, leading to the Green Falcons’ goal in the 2-2 draw.
Nigerian fans had hoped for a better performance from the Super Eagles, especially after their recent draw against Saudi Arabia.
Despite taking an early lead, Nigeria trailed 3-1 at halftime, with Jose Peseiro’s side making a strong comeback. This setback disappointed fans, particularly considering the team’s previous struggles in international friendly games.
