Police operatives in Rivers state have arrested a final-year student of the University of Portharcourt named Collins for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Otuene Justina Nkang.
Otuene Justina Nkang was a 300-level Biochemistry student at the University of Port Harcourt (UniPort) who was previously reported missing.
Nkang’s mutilated body was discovered at Collins’ residence on Road 15, NTA Road, Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

According to reports, security personnel from the estate apprehended Collins as he attempted to dispose of the victim’s body. Upon their alert, witnesses rushed to the suspect’s apartment, where they found Justina’s dismembered body parts in bloody sacks.
Collins was swiftly taken into custody, and the deceased’s body parts were transported to the morgue.
Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed that the Commissioner of Police (CP) would address the press on this incident at 12 p.m. on Thursday.
