Barça director Deco has expressed optimism regarding Ansu Fati’s potential return to Barcelona.
Fati, currently on loan at Brighton from the Catalans, has showcased his prowess by finding the net multiple times in the Premier League.
The young forward opted for a loan move due to limited playing minutes at Barcelona, amassing 13 appearances under Roberto De Zerbi’s tutelage at Brighton.
In an interview with RAC1, Deco conveyed Fati’s contentment and emphasized the possibility of his return to Barcelona, stating, “Ansu can come back, of course. He’s very young and he’s happy now. He asked to go out on loan looking for minutes and decided on Brighton, and I think he did well.”
Deco, who keeps a close eye on Fati’s progress through the watchful gaze of Bojan, a key figure involved in monitoring his development, continued, “We’re following him because Bojan, who is doing a great job, is watching him. I will go see him soon.
“The future depends on him. He can return to Barça, there is no doubt.”
With a commendable record of four goals for Brighton, three of which were scored in his last six appearances, Fati’s performance has been noteworthy.
Importantly, the loan agreement with Brighton does not include a purchase option, keeping the door open for his potential return to Barcelona.
