Bayer Leverkusen’s Alex Grimaldo has expressed interest in potentially moving to Real Madrid despite an eight-year stint with El Clasico rivals Barcelona.
The Spanish full-back, recently included in the national squad, departed Barcelona in 2016 without securing a first-team appearance. Following his tenure at Benfica, where he amassed over 300 appearances, Grimaldo moved to Leverkusen this year.
In an interview with OK Diario, Grimaldo stated, “Real Madrid are one of the world’s best teams, maybe the best, and any player would want to join them. I would like to play in Spain in the future because I have always wanted to play there, and it would be an opportunity for me to play at home.
