Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has deleted all political posts related to the PDP on her Instagram page.
Funke Akindele was the running mate of the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos state during the recent election.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s announcement as the election winner on March 18 in Lagos prompted this action.
Although Funke Akindele did not give the reason for deleting the posts, there has been speculation that a rift may exist between her and the PDP governorship candidate.

According to PM News, a close friend of Funke Akindele alleged anonymously that Jandor, the PDP governorship candidate, played Akindele.

The source stated: “Funke jumped on the ticket with the belief that Jandor will treat her as an equal, but Jandor doesn’t listen, and he behaves like he knows it all. Jandor only picked her based on popularity, he was looking for a weak running mate, and he felt my friend (Funke Akindele) could fit the role. She later realized, but it was too late.”
In December, the actress stated that her latest film’ Battle On Buka Street’ was a farewell to the movie industry. She added that she has “passed the baton of production” to the younger generation in the industry to focus on her political aspirations.
