Marcus Rashford’s return to training has given Manchester United a significant injury boost ahead of their Europa League quarter-final second leg against Sevilla.
The England international has scored 27 goals in 47 appearances for the Red Devils this season but was sidelined due to a groin injury sustained against Everton on April 8.
However, during Wednesday’s training session, Rashford was spotted among the players, increasing the possibility of his featuring in the second leg against Sevilla. United aims to overturn a 2-2 tie from their quarter-final first leg against the Europa League giants.

Although Erik ten Hag‘s side coped well in Rashford’s absence, they would be eager to get a result in Seville after imploding late at Old Trafford a week ago. Rashford’s return would significantly boost United’s chances of progressing to the next round of the competition.

Luke Shaw, who recently signed a new four-year contract with the club, also returned to training after being sidelined since April 5.
Marcel Sabitzer returned to training after missing Sunday’s game against Forest due to a warm-up injury, and Tyrell Malacia played the day before a major European match.
However, Lisandro Martinez will not join the team due to a broken metatarsal that will keep him out for the 2022-23 season.
Overall, United’s injury boosts ahead of the crucial Europa League fixture would be a welcome relief to the team, who will be looking to make it through to the next round of the competition.
